Jon-Adrian “JJ” Velazquez is a justice reform advocate exonerated in 2024 after 27 years of wrongful conviction. During incarceration, he led initiatives at Sing Sing, including organizing TEDx events, educational programs with Hudson Link and Columbia University, and Voices From Within. His advocacy expanded nationally through the Pulitzer Prize–finalist podcast Letters from Sing Sing, the book The Sing Sing Files, the Emmy-winning docuseries The Sing Sing Chronicles, and the A24 film Sing Sing.

A Certified Laundry and Linen Manager (CLLM), Jill is Silver Certified through the Mayo Clinic Quality Academy and holds a bachelor’s degree in business management. She has played a key role in advancing linen safety, reliability, and resilience, including developing the Midwest Linen Contingency Program and the Linen Planned Purchasing Program.

He has managed laundry facilities as small as 30 employees with 2 million pounds of volume, up to large operations with 700 workers processing over 60 million pounds annually Jim works with customers in the western United States and Canada, Mexico, and South America, and represents LAVATEC at ALM and TRSA events.

Since arriving at TRSA in 2010, Schwalb has transformed TRSA, and the industry’s, advocacy programs at the federal state and local level. His accomplishments include advancing reusable healthcare PPE, cutting Texas’ franchise tax rate for industrial laundries in half, reforming California’s Title 22 regulations, and securing essential-service status for the industry during COVID-19.Prior to coming to TRSA, Kevin was a Presidential Appointee in the George W. Bush administration at the Department of Labor collaborating directly with the Secretary of Labor Elain Chao on issues involving OSHA, Wage & Hour and the EEOC. Prior to the Department of Labor Kevin was the Federal Legislative Director to the National Association of Home Builders for environmental policy dealing with the Clean Water Act and the Clean Air Act.

Later Mark spent five years with G&K services leading the business in the Mid-Atlantic area. Mark spent 20 years in the healthcare laundry business as President of Up To Date Laundry. Retiring in 2024, Mark has stayed active in the laundry business and has provided consulting services industry wide through his new venture Lookout Point Advisors. Mark is also on the TRSA Editorial Board, and is a TRSA Hygienically Clean Auditor.

Rocco spent eight years at KPMG before serving as CFO of Hospital Shared Service. Previously, Shane spent more than 20 years with ServiceMaster-Aramark, managing large healthcare systems including Baptist System of Kentucky and Duke University Health System. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management and Business Administration from Berea College and is a past national board officer and current chapter president within the Association for Linen Management, as well as a board member of ARTA.
