Bill Seymour Promoted to Project Manager at LAVATEC
Beacon Falls, Conn. – August 11, 2026 – Bill Seymour has been promoted to project manager at LAVATEC. A 16-year veteran of the laundry industry, he reports to company president and managing partner Mark Thrasher.
Seymour joined LAVATEC in 2023 after working as the electric lab and project manager at EDRO Corporation. He served as the remanufacturing manager for two years until he was promoted to project and logistics coordinator.
In his new role, Seymour works with vice president of engineering Eric Mueller, parts manager Luis Rosario, and service manager Edwin Schrijvers. He coordinates all machine inbound logistics, tracking shipments, managing timelines, and communicating with LAVATEC’s freight partners. He also handles a structured timeline with customers and subcontractors to ensure a seamless, on-time installation schedule.
‘Most of my customer interactions are related to machine or on-site installations,” said Seymour. “I take pride in being a reliable contact for the customer and understand that, at the end of the day, they all want to be reassured you have their best interests in mind. I’ve learned during my 16 years in the laundry industry that happy customers are great for business.”
At any given time, he says he typically balances about 10 projects.
“Between having machines being shipped on the water, ready for pick-up and being transported to their final destination, and installations in progress, I work closely with the forwarding company to have a solid plan in place. The logistics side of my job is enjoyable and challenging since I get to troubleshoot and anticipate different obstacles.”
Away from the office, Seymour and his wife, Melissa, have been together since 1994. They have four daughters, one son and two grandchildren, with a third expected shortly. In his free time, he gives back to his community as a volunteer youth football coach and likes to travel with his family.
