The RLLD Certification recognizes professionals who demonstrate advanced knowledge, competency, and leadership in laundry and textile care services. Designed for directors, general managers, and experienced middle managers, this credential sets you apart as a leader committed to operational excellence and ongoing industry standards.

Maintain Your Credential

Once earned, maintain your RLLD through webinars, articles, and other continuing education resources. Recertification is required every three years.

Details

  • Exam fee: No Cost to those Attending the Laundry & Linen College.

  • The examination may be taken at an approved testing facility, such as a community college or learning center, or over Zoom while being monitored by ALM staff.
  • Books and other materials may not be used during the test.
  • The test consists of multiple choice, true/false, matching, and short answer questions.
  • Certification candidates are responsible for any applicable proctoring fees.

Who Should Take the RLLD Exam?

Directors, general managers, or those with experience in middle management of a laundry with an aptitude for higher levels of responsibility are candidates for the RLLD exam.

If you are a manager or supervisor working in middle management, the Certified Laundry and Linen Manager (CLLM) certification exam is likely the best choice for you.

Program Requirements

No specific training is required to sit for the examination. Preparation can be obtained through on-the-job training, attending training programs on industry practice, educational materials, and/or classroom training. ALM's Laundry & Linen College is excellent training for the RLLD examination, but is not required.
