Laundry & Linen College

The Laundry & Linen College is the premier resource for laundry training and education. For over 50 years, the college has provided training in laundry processing and linen management for individuals in the U.S. and abroad. This program is recognized nationally for developing skilled, informed, and accomplished laundry professionals.

The college takes place twice a year.

Textile Care Services

April 7-11, 2025

In the Textile Care Services session, participants will learn about:

  • Textile selection
  • Linen management
  • Packroom management
  • Textile Budgeting


Laundry Processing & Operations

November 18-22, 2024

In the Laundry Processing & Operations participants will learn about:

  • Equipment selection
  • Maintenance
  • Safety
  • Washroom chemistry
  • Energy Management
  • Managing Productivity and Plant Operations

  • The Laundry & Linen College uses interactive, hands-on, class projects in small groups.
  • Students are able to take immediate action in their facilities after the college. Even experienced laundry personnel learn new approaches!

  • Each class is aided by a course facilitator who has been through the program and is currently working in the field – practical everyday experience meets classroom instructors for the benefit of those attending.

Tuition

  • Early Bird: ALM Member $1,400, Non-Members $1,600
  • Regular: ALM Member $1,600, Non-Members $1,800

*Tuition to the Laundry & Linen College includes the cost of the RLLD Exam.


Scholarships

ALM administers a scholarship program, providing funding to cover the tuition to attend the Laundry & Linen College. Recipients are selected from current ALM textile care service provider members. 

Scholarship winners may attend one session of the Laundry & Linen College, either Textile Care Service or Laundry Processing and Operations. Scholarships cover college tuition; however, recipients or their employer must cover travel, lodging, and meals.

Applicants are selected based on financial and educational needs, as well as their active involvement in the industry.
