Richmond, Ky., June 23, 2020 — Jason Hartsell was reelected as ALM Board treasurer and will continue his work in guiding the association’s financial planning. Hartsell is the director of operations for United Hospital Services in Indianapolis and a U.S. Army veteran.
“ALM provides an invaluable resource to the entire laundry industry, from laundry distribution to executives in multi-site laundry operations,” said Hartsell. “ALM continues to be a leader in providing information and training to laundry and linen operations across multiple markets.”
Hartsell knows first-hand of the benefits to ALM education, because United Hospital Services ensures their customer service staff are educated through ALM Certified Laundry and Linen Manager program.
“ALM educational programs have been utilized at my facility to expand the breadth of laundry knowledge in both processing and distribution,” said Hartsell. “We have our customer service staff complete CLLM certification so they broaden their knowledge on the entire linen cycle and laundry operation, enabling them to better support and guide their customers.”
ALM Executive Director Linda Fairbanks lauded Hartsell’s accomplishments during his time on the Board.
“Jason joined the Board only two short years ago, yet he has made major contributions in developing the Textile Research Council Business Plan, as well as being an instrumental author of our Investment Policy as Investment Committee chair,” said Fairbanks. “We are thrilled to have him on the Board for the next term and are excited to see the many contributions surely forthcoming!”
Hartsell was humble speaking of his own contributions and instead focused on the new programs and services ALM has introduced since he’s been a member of the Board, including the LaundryMarksTM benchmarking platform and training opportunities from ALM’s TRAIN eLearning system for the CLLM and the upcoming Mastery of Healthcare Linen Management (MHLM).
“It’s been a privilege to be a part of so many new and exciting programs released recently, including benchmarking, new certificate and training programs, and an entire eLearning suite. All the while, ALM continues to serve as a resource the textile industry relies upon for information,” said Hartsell. “I’m honored to be elected to serve as ALM’s treasurer for an additional term and continuing to be a part of such an outstanding organization.”
