Richmond, Ky., April 2, 2020 — On March 26, the Association for Linen Management (ALM) brought over 200 textile care industry professionals together for a virtual Town Hall meeting to obtain answers to questions as we all battle the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This has understandably taken over the public’s consciousness, and it’s no different for our industry,” said Linda Fairbanks, executive director of ALM. “Working closely with experts, such as Dr. Lynne Sehulster, Charles Berge the general manager of Shared Hospital Laundry, Medline’s textile experts Chuck Rossmiller and John Piazzi, UNX Chemist Ryan Cotroneo, and CPI’s Tiffany Brady for this event, allowed us to share the information we know is the best resource for the textile care industry.”
Following ALM’s March 10 statement about the novel coronavirus and best practices for laundries, resources have been regularly added to the ALM COVID-19 Resources page, including links to CDC information, EPA, and other industry associations, as well as the ALM member forum, which has been extremely active in the last weeks with industry professionals sharing tips and supporting each other. ALM is providing complimentary site visitor access for 90 days to ensure collaboration happens across all areas of the industry, including ALM’s membership of more than 400 facilities.
“We are all in this together,” said Nicole Morris, marketing and communications manager for ALM. “We are here for the industry, regardless of membership status. If you have a question, we want to find the answer and ongoing resources to help you.”
While the full video is available from ALM’s COVID-19 resources page, ALM is providing the most commonly asked questions presented during the Town Hall as short clips for ease of access by the entire industry.
