SPEAKER PROFILES

 

Ken Miratsky, RLLD

 

Ken is currently the Customer Service/Safety Manager for Walt Disney World Textile Services. His 37 years of experience in both Healthcare and Hospitality has provided him a view from all aspects of laundry operations. Ken, a US Navy and Vietnam veteran served aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Midway during his military tenure. The skills learned in the Navy positioned him well for his transition into the business world. Ken has managed multiple laundry facilities over the years including one of the largest laundry plants in the world. He also held the position of Executive Housekeeper for one of Disney’s largest Resorts. Away from work Ken enjoys spending time with his family, attending sporting events, traveling, hiking, and is an avid cyclist. He has completed multiple century rides, and a Disney Marathon.

Francesca Foster

Francesca Foster, is currently the Project Assistant for Walt Disney World Textile Services’ safety department. Francesca has a bachelor’s degree in business management, speaks 3 languages and has now been with Textile Services for the past 3 years. While her experience has mainly been in management, teaching/training and mentoring, she has truly found a new passion for the safety industry and has return to school to obtain her masters in Occupational Safety. Outside of her role at Textile Services, she holds a seat on the leadership board of a diversity resource group for Disney cast members called PULSE (People United to Lead, Serve and Excel); she is a troop leader for her daughter’s troop (American Heritage Girls) helping to mold and shape the lives of young Christian girls; and she teaches piano at her local church. Prior to Disney, Francesca has held various positions working for major corporations, but her most fulfilling role was that of a mentor for inner city middle school students working for an initiative called Parramore Kidz Zone through the City of Orlando. On a relaxing day, you will most likely find her playing one of her many instruments, reading, cross-stitching or watching a movie.

· Plan to wear closed toe and closed heel shoes with rubber soles and good traction. Heels should be less than one inch

· Cell phone and camera use is strictly prohibited.

· Stay with your tour group.

*Contact hours, ALM certification required, are based on instructional hour. You must sign in on the roster at the beginning of the session to qualify for contact hours.
