ALM Certification Holders
Earning an ALM Certification is a significant achievement. The professionals who have earned the RLLD or CLLM designation have passed a rigorous examination and often spend countless hours preparing in order to set themselves apart from others in their industry. They must maintain their certification through continuing education. Maintaining Your Certification
ALM's CLLM and RLLD certifications renew every three years. n order to be eligible for renewal, you must participate in continuing education. Contact hours are tracked for ALM members as a benefit of membership. Non-members can pay a tracking fee of $75 (every three years) in order to maintain their certification. Continuing education requirements are as follows:
Certified Laundry and Linen Managers (CLLM) - must earn at least 45 contact hours in each renewal cycle. Of those 45 hours, 25 hours must be earned in educational programming specific to the laundry and linen industry. The remaining 20 hours can be earned in applicable general management courses.
Registered Laundry and Linen Directors (RLLD) - must earn at least 45 contact hours in each renewal cycle. Of those 45
hours, 30 hours must be earned in educational programming specific to
the laundry and linen industry. The remaining 15 hours can be earned in
applicable general management courses.
There are a number of ways to earn contact Hours:
Acceptable proof of attendance includes:
- A certificate that includes the participant name, name of the educational program, program date, length of program, and an authorized signature.
- If a certificate of participation is not provided, the ALM contact hour tracking sheet can be substituted
