Executive Director, AHPF
 
Detroit Medical Center is seeking an Executive Director for their off site hospital laundry processing facility, Total Linen Services.  Total Linen Services processes approximately 16 million pounds of laundry for 10 hospitals (8 owned and 2 non-owned) and about 40 clinics.
 
Will direct the overall operations of Total Linen Services. Ensures objectives are achieved in a manner consistent with the mission and vision of the health care entities it serves. Develops short and long-term plans, goals and policies for the Facility. Represents the Facility with professional societies, the financial community, government agencies, other laundry facilities and the public. Reviews, evaluates and approves all contracts, appropriations and expenditure requests submitted by Facility management. Directs the preparation of capital and operating expense budgets in concert with the Regional Administrator, Support Services and Administrative Committee and ensures the fiscal integrity of the Facility. Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, Licensing and accreditation agencies laws, rules, standards and requirements. Performs other duties as necessary or desirable in the best interest of the Facility and its owners.
Will monitor activities for and ensures compliance with laws, government regulations, JCAHO requirements and DMC policies.   As directed, implements external and internal audit recommendations. Ensures hospital departments achieve objectives for diversity of their suppliers.
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field.
Seven to ten years progressively more responsible related management experience in a cooperative hospital laundry or large commercial laundry.
CLLM or RLLD credential
 
SKIILLS REQUIRED
Analytical ability to serve in an advisory role in developing strategies and protocols to direct complex systems that foster innovative approaches to processes on a system-wide basis.
Communication and interpersonal skills to negotiate on a wide range of situations. A mastery of a variety of communication modalities is required including leading meetings, making formal presentations, and writing complex documents and managing complex relationships.
Project management skills including the ability to define project or process objectives, coordinate and allocate human technological and fiscal resources to accomplish goals and objectives in a resourceful yet timely manner.
Leadership skills including demonstrated willingness to pursue leadership roles with increasing levels of accountability comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching, teaching and counseling skills, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others.
